Restaurants such as Subway recommends that pregnant women eat the following non-luncheon meat items such as meatball, steak and cheese, roasted chicken, and tuna (limit 2 servings a week)." Which made me sad cos I don't like the ones they are saying are recommended by Subway. I asked my doctor about them and she said needed to just stay away from the packaged meats due to all the nitrates in them. But she found it rubbish that people seem to think that deli meat from a place like subway is not ok because those meats are fresh.
